What a license buys you
When you buy a license you get the right to use the version you purchase for life! If you buy version 4 you can use it, and all subsequent point releases (e.g. 4.1, 4.2 etc) for life.
You can also use major upgrades (e.g. version 5) for a year after purchase. Once the year is up you will need to buy an upgrade to continue using the major upgrades.
